Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Tuesday put the blame of the target killings of its activists on banned outfits, saying that the outfits were targeting MQM because of its secular image.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Coordination Committee of MQM said that the target killer involved in the brutal murder of the two MQM activists in North Karachi confessed that he belonged to a terror outfit and he was given the task to kill its workers.
“Those who think that they could suppress the struggle of MQM through these killings should know that the party has a long history of its workers sacrificing their lives for rights of the deprived people,” the statement added.
The committee further demanded government to take strict action against the involved culprits.
