Lahore: Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) Leader Dr. Tahirul Qadri and his son have decided against participating in the upcoming general elections of Pakistan.
According to sources, the decision was made after thorough consultations by the religious scholar with his close aides.
The decision would be announced by Dr Tahirul Qadri in a press conference on Tuesday (tomorrow).
It is to be mentioned here that the religious scholar suddenly jumped into the politics of the country after almost seven years demanding the current government to make reforms in the electoral system of the country.
He further led a long march towards the capital city, Islamabad, and later on successful negotiations with the government on political reforms agreed to end his sit-in in front of the parliament of the country.
