Karachi: A partial strike is being observed on the call of Shia Ulema Council (SUC) in Karachi against killing of dozens of Shiites in Quetta on Thursday.
All the private schools and colleges are also closed in the city. Officer workers and commuters faced difficulties as public transport remained thin on the road and fuel stations remained closed.
The ban on pillion riding and suspension of cellular services also increased the miseries of the citisens.
The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), the biggest political party of the city, has also announced to support the strike. “The city also observed a day of mourning on Sunday on the call of the MQM.
