Karachi: The government of Pakistan is mulling over all of its options to refrain Dr. Tahirul Qadri from leading a long march towards Islamabad on January 14, 2013.
According to sources, in a high level meeting of representatives from different factions in PPP led-coalition, presided by Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari, PML-Q Leader Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain was given task to refrain the Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) leader from leading the march.
The meeting asked Chaudhry Shujaat to contact Dr. Tahir and informed him regarding the threats to the long march.
Fata members also present in the meeting expressed reservations over the remarks of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain against Pakistan’s founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah, commonly known as Quaid-e-Azam.
