Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday declared Reko Diq contract null and void.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, the head of the three-member bench which heard the case, read the short verdicts written on 16 pages.
The court has also accepted all the pleas against the Tethyan Copper Company.
The International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes had also rejected the Tethyan Copper Company’s demand for ‘provisional measures’ for ‘protecting’ two of its deposit areas.
