Islamabad: The graduation degree of ex-Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani’s son Abdul Qadir Gillani has proved bogus, Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) claimed on Thursday.
Abdul Qadir Gillani was elected Member of National Assmebly from NA-151 (Multan-IV), vacated by former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani after being disqualified by the Supreme Court.
According to sources, the FIA investigation officer Hussain Asghar has sent the report to the registrar of Supreme Court of Pakistan, Dr Faqir Hussain.
The FIA investigations disclosed that the candidate, Abdul Qadir Gillani, did not appear in his graduation papers and three types of handwriting were found on the papers.
The investigations further revealed that the examination centre of the candidate was also changed in order to provide relief in cheating during the papers.
