Lahore: Pakistan Cricket team left for Lahore airport on Saturday amid tight security to participate in the long-due series in India.
“We have worked very hard and now request the nation to hold their hands together and pray for us”, said bowling coach of Pakistan Cricket team, Mohammad Akram before leaving for the series with the arch-rivals. He pointed out that Pakistani bowlers had played an important role in the team’s victories in the past.
Akram said that Inzimam-ul-Haque’s arrival in the team has helped strengthen the batting line-up. “We have worked on all fronts; it is going to be a tough competition between the two teams”, he concluded.
The first match of five matches to be played in the neighbouring country will be held on December 25, 2012.
