Khyber Agency: At-least 16 people were killed while 50 injured in a horrendous incident when a car blew up in Khyber Agency of Pakistan’s tribal area Fata on Monday.
According to the correspondent of The News Tribe, the blast occurred at Fooji Market, district Jamrud, targeting the office of Assistant Political Agent.
Sources of Khasadar Force confirmed the incident, adding that the blast caused damage to 12 cars in the market and nearby buildings.
News reports said five people were killed on the spot while 11 others succumbed to their injuries soon after. The injured, most of them in critical condition, have been shifted to Khyber Teaching Hospital, confirmed by Chief Executive of the hospital.
