Islamabad: The concluding ceremony of 56th ‘Islamic Orientation Programme For Teachers’ and 78th ‘Aima Khutaba Course’ was organized by Dawah Academy, International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI).
Acting IIUI President Dr Mumtaz Ahmad presided over the ceremony while renowned scholar Dr Inamur Rehman was chief guest on the occasion. Dr Imtiaz Zafar of the Dawah Academy was also present.
Dr Mumtaz Ahmad said that “Islam spread in the world due to the morality and lifestyle of Muslims and not through political struggle and military conquests therefore, we should attract non-Muslims towards Islam through our attitude and life issues”.
He said that aims to establish Dawah Academy was to improve the daily life of Muslims, adding that the academy is “admirably conducting training programmes for intellectual and religious reform of individuals from different walks of life and this will remain continue in the future”.
Dr Mumtaz said that for the teachers of Balochistan, these training programmes would be organized in their province.
D. Imtiaz Zafar congratulated the participants on successful completion of training courses. He said that thousands of people have had benefited from these training courses of Dawah Academy and are preaching Islam.
Muhammad Khalid, a teacher from Balochistan, said that the ‘Islamic Orientation Programme for Teachers’ is playing “tremendous role to promote Islamic thoughts and wisdom in teachers”.
Earlier, Farid Barohi, course coordinator, briefed participants about the content of courses and details of training programmes. Later, Dr Mumtaz Ahmad distributed certificates among the participants.
