Sahiwal: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Zaka Ashraf said on Friday that Pakistani squad had no threat from any organistaion in India.
Zaka said that PCB wanted long term relations with the Board of Control for Cricket in india (BCCI). “We are not afraid of any organization in India. Our team will definitely go for the tour,” He said.
Zaka further said that we were trying to invite other countries to play in Pakistan, but they were hesitated to initiate. “We are still in communication with three other cricket boards,” he added.
Zaka also said that government had ability to make proper security arrangements for hosting international cricket. We would be successful in pursuit of international teams to play in Pakistan, said Zaka.
He said that PCB had learnt from past and was keeping an eye on players to avoid future match fixing scandals. He further said that the board could consider Muhammad Asif and other players for national team if they get successful to lift ban.
“Chairman of the board will be elected next year as per decision of International Cricket Council (ICC). PCB will soon issue funds to regional cricket teams,” said Zaka.
