Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry on Thursday said that the co-operation of bench and bar is necessary to ensure speedy and expeditious justice to litigants.
During a meeting with the newly elected Supreme Court Bar officials, the CJP said that there was no concept of a judiciary without a strong bar and both of them should work together to strengthen the system of justice.
“People have reposed confidence on the judiciary and now it is the responsibility of the judges to provide justice to the people,” he said.
He further added that the independent judiciary was working in accordance with the constitution of Pakistan.
