Lahore: Abbottabad Falcons led by former Pakistan captain Younis Khan defeated Karachi Zebras by 5 wickets at the very last ball of the match played at Lahore City Cricket Association Ground on Wednesday.
Falcons won the toss choosing to field first held the Zebras’ openers early with their tight line and length. At the end of first power play, Karachi were 43 with the loss of 4 key batsmen but Daniyal Ahsan and Sheharyar Ghani put on a brilliant fifth wicket partnership of 73 in the next 9 overs at the strike rate of 8.26.
As they went into the pavilion, no other batsman managed to continue the flow and Zebras were all out on 135. Khalid Usman bowlen a tautly spell of four overs taking 3 of 23.
In reply, Zebras bowled out Falcons’ opener Mir Azam of the second ball of the innings but Hammad Ali and skipper Younis Khan lead their team to victory scoring 35 and 48.
Younis Khan was declared the player of the match for his speedy match winning innings of 48 of just 28 at the strike rate of 171.42.
