Karachi: The government of Sindh on Thursday took strict notice of miscreants torching vehicles in Sindh including Karachi and ordered authorities to increase patrolling of law enforcing authorities in the sensitive areas.
Sindhi Nationalist parties have announced to observe strike on Friday (today) against the Sindh Local Bodies Ordinance in the province, terming the ordinance as a conspiracy to divide the province.
At least four vehicles have been torched in the province including three in Karachi and one in Hyderabad.
Talking to media, the Secretary of Sindh Home Ministry Waseem Ahmed said that an order had been issued directing law enforcing authorities to take strict action against miscreants who wanted to deteriorate law and order situation in the province.
The cases of the miscreants arrested during the strike will be referred to anti-Terrorism courts, he said.
