Karachi: Pakistan’s Interior ministry has announced that mobile network services will be blocked in Karachi and Quetta after 1 pm till late night on Friday.
Speaking to media in Islamabad Interior Minister Rehman Malik said wireless phone services will also be blocked during the same timings in both the provincial capitals. “The cellular and wireless phone services will be resumed by late night,” he added.
Malik said that mobile phone service blockade also includes several areas of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Blocking cellular services in other cities is also under consideration and decision regarding this will be taken after 1 pm, the minister said.
