Melbourne: Australia’s domestic cricket team Sydney Sixers terminate its contract with Pakistan cricket star Umar Akmal as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) allowed him to play only one match in the star studded Big Bash Twenty20 cricket league.
According to media reports, Sixers terminated the contract after it was divulged that he could only play in the team’s opening match of KFC T20 Big Bash League.
Earlier, Afridi pulled himself out of the cash awash cricket league to lead Karachi Dolphins, Pakistan’s domestic team, in the upcoming domestic T20 tournament.
It is been reported that Cricket Australia has expressed distress over the outlook of the Pakistan Cricket Board and could review its policy to sign Pakistani players in future.
