Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has permitted three top National players including flamboyant all rounder Shahid Afridi, Saeed Ajmal and Umar Akmal to feature in Australia’s star studded Big Bash Twenty20 Cricket league.
The decision was taken by PCB after they received a formal request by Cricket Australia to allow the leading players participate in cash awash Australian domestic T20 Cricket league.
According to board officials, the players were allowed to play for their respected teams for only a week. “The three participants will depart for Australia on 6th December and come back on 12th of the same month.”
Despite getting permission from the Cricket board to show up in the foreign T20 league, spin maestro Saeed Ajmal, young talent Umar Akmal and crowd stunner Shahid Afridi will not be able to feature in semi final or mega final of the tournament.
The players will ensure their presence in a training camp, going to held for practice before the crucial series against India, PCB official said.
