Karachi: Following the suspension of cellular services in Pakistan’s commercial hub, Karachi, the telecom sector fears a loss of about 200 million rupees during eight hours of network blockage.
The Federal government of Pakistan today directed the Pakistan Telecommunication Authorities (PTA) authorities to suspend the cellular network from 10:00 am to 6: 00 pm in Karachi and Quetta, provincial capitals of Sindh and Balochistan province.
According to Pakistani media, the business activities in the city were badly affected after the government had ordered to block the network services in the two major cities.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan’s fiscal deficit has already crossed 6 billion dollars during the first four months of the current year.
