Islamabad: Pakistan’s Interior Minister has termed smuggling of narcotics from Afghanistan a common nuisance, and said that Pakistan and Iran are working in unison to establish peace in the region.
He expressed these views in a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Mustafa Ahmed Najjar at the office of Pakistan’s interior ministry.
The two leaders discussed persistent issues concerning the two countries such as security to the pilgrims travelling to Iran and infiltration from Iran inside Balochistan.
Malik assured Najjar that Pakistan sees Iran as a brotherly country and cooperation between the two has continued to prosper at various levels as both continue their efforts towards establishing regional peace.
