Islamabad: Prominent coalition partner of the government, Muttahida Qaumi Movement, on Tuesday walked out of the National Assembly in protest against the unrest and instability in Karachi.
Expressing his views about the latest development, the party MNA Abdul Qadir Khanzada said they would boycott the entire running session of the assembly if the government did not come up with a clear stance on the law and order situation by tomorrow. He pointed out that the interior minister was continuously absent from the assembly session.
Khanzada said that the government did not seem serious on improving the security situation in the city and called upon the authorities to improve the law and order. He also blamed security agencies for being ‘least concerned’ about the deteriorating situation of the financial hub.
