Lahore: Sarabjit Singh, an Indian spy who is known to be involved in a series of bomb blasts in Pakistan, has once again pleaded Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari for mercy.
According to sources, Sarabjit Singh, who is presently in Kot Lakhpat jail in Lahore, has handed over his petition to his Attorney Awais Sheikh. The petition will be forwarded to the president.
“I’ve been suffering in the jail for the past 22 years. I plead for mercy and beg you to let me spend the rest of my life with my family.” said the petition addressed to the president of Pakistan.
The legal punishment of Sarabjit was put off for an indefinite time when Pakistan government tried to intervene it.
