Islamabad: Despite the approval of 18th constitutional amendment, numerous universities in Punjab are being affected due to the shortage of funds as many projects remain incomplete in hundreds of institutions.
Teaching and non teaching staffs of the respective universities are demanding supply of funds immediately, a report said on Wednesday. “Many of these institutions are self reliant but various projects are left abandoned just because of the shortage of the funds from Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Punjab government.”
“Few famous universities such as the Education University, the Government College University Lahore, the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences and the Lahore College for women are among the institutions facing the shortage,” the report said.
