Karachi: Large number of people staged protest and damaged public property at Karachi’s Numaish Chowrangi after the killing of Jafria Alliance leader Agha Aftab Haider.
The enraged protestors set a bus and pelted buses, security men and commuters with stones and caused severe traffic jam.
Earlier, Haider along with his companion were gunned down unidentified men near a parking plaza in Saddar area of the city.
Rangers and police opened aerial firing to disperse the protestors but in return they started pelting stones.
Following the killing, the alliance and Majlis-e-Wahdat ul-Muslimeen have also announced three days mourn.
