Karachi: The Supreme Court of Pakistan, while hearing the Karachi unrest case, has expressed dissatisfaction over the reports submitted by the Sindh government and the police.
A five-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and comprising Justice Khilji Arif Hussain, Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany, Justice Amir Hani Muslim and Justice Gulzar Ahmed resumed the hearing the suo moto case — taken in October 2011 over the deteriorating law and order situation of the city —- at Karachi Registry on Tuesday.
During the hearing today, Advocate General Sindh Abdul Fateh Malik submitted a report over the law and order situation in the city.
The bench expressed dissatisfaction over the report and remarked that there had been no need to hear the case again if the report was comprehensive. “13 months are enough to control the situation.”
The bench also questioned that as to why legislation was not done to keep licensed arms.
