Karachi: Sri Lankan Consul General D W Jinadasa has said that after getting the clearance from International Cricket Council’s (ICC) they will send their national cricket team to visit Pakistan.
According to a television report, Jinadasa, during his visit to Karachi Chamber of Commerce, said that Sri Lanka and Pakistan had close economic and cricket relations
He said that Sri Lankan team was ready to play in Pakistan, adding that they only need clearance of ICC for the visit.
Earlier, Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse had given a green light for his national cricket team to tour Pakistan. Sri Lankan president told media that they are ready to send the Sri Lankan national team to Pakistan, but it is up to the boards of both the countries to sort out the dates and other intricacies for a tour.
It is to mention here that relations between Pakistan and Sri Lanka cricket boards have always been excellent.
