Dubai: After defeating the world no 1 team in Twenty20, South Africa by two wickets in a thrilling match of the World Cup T20, the International Cricket Council has raised the ranking of Pakistan from fifth position to third.
According to new rankings, Pakistan has gained five points ultimately acquiring the third position at ICC T20 ranking.
South Africa remains at No 1 position with Sri Lanka on the second position.
Pakistan has been so far undefeated in the T20 World Cup campaign. The team defeated New Zealand and Bangladesh in the group matches while in the super eight round they beat South Africa by two wickets.
