New York: Pakistan Ambassador to United Nations Abdullah Hussain Haroon has said that if the US wants to stop attacks on its embassies it should put an end to things like anti-Islam films.
Whatever is happening in Pakistan has nothing to do with government. It was expression of people’s sentiments and government didn’t resort to tear gas and aerial firing if protests have its approval,” Haroon said in an interview with a US TV.
Replying a query, he said that relations between the US and Pakistan were strategic and they were not based on equality.
He said that Pakistan had been bullied when it tried to think on its own. Answering a question regarding Shakil Afridi, he said that Afridi should have informed government first instead of US.
