Karachi: Leader of Ah-le Sunnat Wal Jamat (ASWJ), formerly known as Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan (SSP), Aurngzeb Farooqui on Saturday said that Interior Minister Rehman Malik was behind the violent incidents in Karachi on Friday.
Speaking to party workers after funeral prayer of an activist at Baitul Mukkarram mosque in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Farooqi claimed that seven activist of his party were killed during Friday protest against anti-Islam film.
He demanded of the authorities to ascertain the group who opened fire on police near Tower that forced police to retaliate and kill protesters.
The AWSJ leader announced that a Namoos-e-Risalt rally would be taken out from Lasbela Chowk to US consulate on the coming Friday.
