Islamabad: The Coalition parties of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Monday decided that the Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf would appear before Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday (Tomorrow).
According to Presidential spokesman Farhat Ullah Babar, in a meeting presided by President Asif Ali Zardari at President House, Islamabad, the coalition parties showed full confidence on the government and would accompany PM Ashraf to the court.
Earlier on August 27, the SC granted 22-day breathing space to the prime minister in the case.
A five-judge bench headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa had issued a show-cause notice to the prime minister for not implementing its orders in the NRO case of writing a letter to the Swiss authorities to reopen graft cases worth $60 million against President Asif Zardari.
Law Minister Senator Farooq.H.Naek briefed the participants of the meeting regarding the legal issues relating to the NRO implementation case.
PM Ashraf also gave briefing to the participants on the current situation of energy crisis in the country.
