Islamabad: Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Saturday telephoned his Pakistani counterpart and expressed sorrow over the tragic fire incidents in Lahore and Karachi.
Almost 289 people fell prey to the deadly fire at a garments factory in Karachi. The fire also caused injures to more than 200 people.
In a similar incident in Lahore, the fire breakout in a chemical factory, killing 25 people including the factory owner and his son.
According to Presidential spokesman, the Iranian President told Zardari that the people of Iran would standby with Pakistani nation in the tragic moment.
