Karachi Chief Fire Officer has said that all the exit ways were closed in the garments factory where at least 90 people have been killed so far.
Speaking to media on Wednesday,he said that some people are still trapped in the basement of the factory.
He said that most of the casualties occurred due to suffocation as there was extreme heat inside the factory.
According to reports, a two-member committee has been formed by the provincial government to probe the incident.
Medico legal Officer at the Civil Hospital Karachi has said that 17 bodies have been handed over to their families after identification.
