Social media users in Pakistan have once again started criticizing local media for what they said siding with the 20-year old girl Rimsha Masih, an accused of blasphemy.
Social media is abuzz with a couple of images of a girl with captions, criticizing media for hiding “facts” by publishing and airing fake photos of Masih.
A number of Facebook users blasted media, saying an image of a flood affected minor girl was published and aired to prove her innocence in blasphemy case instead of Rimsha Masih’s real picture.
A picture of Rimsha Masih, captured by the photographers while she was being transferred to a helicopter from an armored personnel carrier (APC), provided the Facebook users another opportunity to criticize the media as they started sharing both an old picture of Masih that was actually of a flood victim and a real one of Ms Masih’s with captions against the media.
