Karachi: Sindhi nationalists have announced strike against the promulgation of new local body government ordinance on September 13.
Sindh United Party chief Jalal Mehmood Shah said that the nationalists would surround Chief Minister House in protest against the ordinance.
Ruling Pakistan People’s Party and its coalition partner MQM reached consensus on the new local body system drawing severe reaction from the ANP and the main opposition party the PML-N.
The ANP withdraw its single minister from the provincial cabinet and announced that it would boycott sessions of the National Assembly and the Senate until the government withdrew the ordinance.
