Islamabad: Special Adviser to the Prime Minister for National Harmony, Paul Bhatti, on Friday said that Rimsha, a 14 year girl accused in blasphemy case, will not travel abroad.
Giving a briefing to media in Islamabad, Bhatti said that there was no threat to the life of Rimsha and she was free to live with her parents anywhere they wanted to live.
“Rimsha is a Pakistani and she will stay in her country,” Bhatti said adding that Interior Minister Rehman Malik assured fool proof security to the 14 year old girl.
Bhatti applauded the release of 14 year old girl on bail and said that the person who exploited the blasphemy law should be punished according to the law.
The blasphemy issue is considered as a sensitive issue in Pakistan as Governor Punjab Salman Taseer and Shahbaz Bhatti fell prey to the issue. Salman Taseer was shot dead by his own police guard in Islamabad while Bhatti was targeted by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in the capital.
