Sharjah: All rounder Shahid Afridi will not be able to play in Pakistan’s first two T20 matches against Australia due to thumb injury.
Afridi had injured his left hand in the last ODI match against Australia while attempting to catch the ball on his own ball. He immediately left the field and came back after receiving the first aid.
Afridi received five stitches on his left hand thumb and the doctors have advised him to rest for five days rest.
Pakistan will take on Australia in a three match T20 matches series which will begin on September 5.
