Quetta: The doctors in Quetta on Tuesday announced end their strike after the chief justice of Pakistan directed them to end their protest and resumed the duties.
Three members bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan headed by Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry while hearing the Balochistan law and order case directed the protesting doctors to end their strike.
During the hearing, the chief justice remarked that the doctors should end their strike on humanitarian basis.
The representative of the doctors told the bench that the government was well aware about the kidnappers and the criminals involved in the cases against the doctors. He said that their colleague were being killed therefore they were observing strike.
Justice Khilji Arif Hussain, the member of the bench, remarked that their colleague judge had also been killed but they did not observe strike.
The representative ensured the court that they would end their strike after the orders.
However, Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Balochistan Chapters President Sultan has refused end their strike saying their strike will remain continue.
