Peshawar: Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa (KPK) Province’s Home Ministry has directed the illegal Afghan refugees to leave the province immediately.
In statement issued here on Thursday, the home ministry has also directed the registered Afghan refugees to leave the country by December 31, 2012 and warned that strict action would be taken against the refugees after the deadline.
Over two million Afghan nationals are reported to be living in Pakistan illegally, majority of them in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA and northwestern Balochistan.
