Bannu: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) member Irfanullah Durrani has won the by-election of KP-70, Bannu, a seat of Khyber Pakhtunkhua’s provincial assembly, here on Tuesday.
According to unofficial results of the polling stations, Irfanullah Durrani took 38417 votes leaving behind the independent candidate Rehmatullah.
The seat fell vacant after the sudden death of Ziad Akram Durrani.
The JUI-F candidate Irfanullah Durrani is taking part in the by-polls by representing an only political party as the remaining four others candidates are independent.
Other candidates who took part in the election includes Malik Mohammad Ashfaq, Malik Saadullah Khan, Zafar Ali Khan, Sadiqur Rehman and Rehmatullah alias Kaka Jan.
The polling concluded amid tight security arrangements.
