Islamabad: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari Monday chaired a meeting of the top brass of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). The meeting discussed the events occurred after the appearance of Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf before the apex court.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday gave 22 days time to Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf to implement the apex court order to write letter to Swiss Court. The court adjourned the hearing of the NRO implementation case till September 18.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira, Minister for Defence Naveed Qamar, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Samsam Bukhari, Minister for Religious affairs Syed Khurshid Shah, Nazar Mohammad Gondal and others participated in the meeting.
The meeting also discussed issues regarding the preparation of next elections and the overall security of the country.
