Peshawar: At least 20 militants and one soldier were killed after dozens of militants coming from Afghanistan attacked an anti-Taliban militia post in northwest Pakistan for the third day.
According to a government official, Jahangir Azam Wazir, said that four soldiers and four militiamen were also wounded in Sunday’s attack in Bajaur tribal region.
He said four soldiers, six militiamen and 38 militants were killed during the attacks on Friday and Saturday.
Pakistan has blamed Afghan and Isaf forces for not placing enough forces on the other side of the border, providing militants a chance to attack Pakistani border posts.
On the other hand, the US and Afghanistan have long criticized Pakistan for failing to prevent militants attacking in the opposite direction.
