Islamabad: The tenure of Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) Chairman, Shakeel Durrani, has been extended for indefinite period.
According to sources, the term had been extended after Water and Power Ministry suggested Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf to extend the term for one year.
Durrani, who had to retire on September 20, 2012 will now perform his duties until any announcement from the government. He was appointed Chairman WAPDA for five years after his retirement as a bureaucrat.
