Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday lodged protest over excessive loadshedding in the province during the meeting of Council of Common Interests (CCI) chaired by Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf.
Sharif also presented a resolution calling for equal loadshedding in the all provinces.
Sources said that the PM complaint to Sharif as to how he could protest while he was also part of the government.
Sharif told the PM what else could be done as the loadshedding had made the lives of people miserable.
Ashraf said that there was no mechanism in the country to measure duration of loadshedding in the provinces. He said such a mechanism was being made and urged the Punjab Chief Minister to end his protest at his camp office.
Meanwhile, the CCI approved Petroleum Policy 2012.
