Islamabad: The record of the parliamentary debate on new contempt of court law has been presented in the Supreme Court of Pakistan as the five-member bench of the apex court resumed the hearing of 20 identical petitions against the act.
The bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry comprises Justice Shakirullah Jan, Justice Tasaduq Jilani, Justice Jawad S Khawaja and Justice Khilji Arif was hearing the case.
During the hearing today, the petitioners continued their arguments in the case while Ahsanuddin, one of the petitioner, red the debate record in the court.
