There is a possibility that Africa may run out of all the elephants within five years.
The problem has its roots in Asia as it is busy in depleting wild and exotic animals. Asia itself has lost many precious animals due to poaching.
In Asian countries, especially in China, bones, blood and bile of exotic animals are considered useful in medical terms. And that is why they have made many animals extinct in their region.
Now the Asians are eying Africa for wild and exotic animals. At least one Chinese restaurant can be found in every city of Africa. And more Asians can be found visiting Asia than before. The attraction seems to be the wild life of Africa.
Rhinos and elephants are smuggled by Africans who are getting lots of money for their services. In Vietnam, rhino horn is believed to be magical for liver cancer and people would go to any extent to get hold of it.
And when it comes to the elephants, poachers have crossed their limits and they are hunting down whole families of elephants now. And at this speed, elephants are likely to disappear from Africa in five years.
