Shingletown, California: A man from Northern California is accused of shooting his son, 50, injuring him badly because he did not like his country karaoke singing.
A Shasta County judge on Tuesday ordered William Henry Oller Sr., 70, to stand trial on attempted murder and assault charges in the January shooting, The Record Searchlight of Redding (http://bit.ly/Piyyss ) reported.
AP reported that Oller is accused of opening fire on his son, William Carr Oller Jr., at the son’s Shingletown home.
Defense attorney Aaron Williams said there is no evidence to show the shooting was intentional, and his client may have acted in self-defense when he was approached by his son.
The name of the song is still unknown. “Maybe it will come out in trial,” Williams said.
