Bannu: At least four militants wearing suicide jackets were killed while two others arrested in hours long operation of Pakistan army and police against the militants who attacked the Old City Police Station of Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa on early Monday.
Police said that almost six militants attacked the special branch office with heavy weapons and hand grenades and held three police officers hostage.
Following that attack the local authorities sought Pakistan army’s help and imposed a curfew in the city. The security forces sealed the city and killed four suicide attackers and arrested two others in hours long operation.
Meanwhile, the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed the responsibility for the attack.
