Lahore: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday granted interim bail for five days to four doctors who are accused of murder in connection with the death of a child at Mayo Hospital during the recent strike by the Young Doctors Association (YDA) Punjab.
The court has directed all accused to submit Rs100,000 bond each.
The father of the child who passed away during the YDA strike was present during proceedings on Monday and appealed that the case should be sent to another court.
Meanwhile Justice Ijaz ul Hassan ordered that these four doctors would never be able to take part in any strike and assurance was given of this by the YDA lawyer.
