Lahore: Young Doctors Association (YDA) has announced to resume services in out patient and indoor departments of the public sector hospitals from tomorrow (Monday) at 9 am.
The announcement came after Lahore High Court (LHC) directed young doctors to resume services in indoor and outdoor departments of the hospitals. LHC also ordered both parties, government and young doctors, to resolve the matter within two weeks.
Addressing a press conference, Young Doctors Association spokesman Dr Nasir Abbas announced to end the strike but demanded government to approve their demands.
“If the government would not approve our demands then we would once again go on strike,” he said.
The spokesman said that no one died in the emergency of the hospitals after they had resumed their services.
He further demanded government to release all doctors arrested by government of Punjab.
