Lahore: Security In-charge of Chief Minister Punjab Major (r) Maaz was injured after a bomb exploded at his residence in Lahore, police and medical officials said on Thursday.
Sources said that unidentified men hurled a grenade inside the house, which exploded within no time, injuring the security in-charge.
“The security in-charge was shifted to Sheikh Zayed Hospital, Lahore,” they said.
Talking to media, wife of Major (r) Maaz said that unidentified men hurled something inside the house and his husband took the object saying that it was a dangerous thing.
She further said that after picking up the bomb it exploded within no time.
The police officials confirmed the incident and said that they are investigating whether it was a terror incident or for revenge.
