Lahore: At least six people including three women, two children and a man were killed on Monday across Pakistan’s province Punjab due to the irresponsible act of doctors as they refused to to work after police arrested their fellow doctors from Services Hospital, Lahore.
Sources said that at least five people including a child named Sarwar , three women and a man were found dead in Allied Hospital, Faisalabad after the doctors boycotted their duties.
“The condition is very critical as almost 70 children in the Allied Hospital were present in the children ward out of which 30 of them are in a critical condition,” they said.
A two year child was also reportedly killed in Mew hospital Lahore due to the absence of the doctors. The F.I.R of the incident was filed against eight young doctors.
The Punjab government has launched an all out operation against the doctors across Punjab.
On the other hand, Young doctors have abandoned their services across Punjab in retaliation to the arrest of YDA members from Lahore.
Law Minister Punjab Rana Sanaullah has warned young doctors to avoid participating in the strike and said that all those who would participate in the strike would face serious consequences.
He further said that the government would not allow the doctors to play with the lives of innocent people.
