Lahore: The Pakistan Army has decided to run double shift in the hospitals located in Cantonment areas in the backdrop of doctors’ strike that led to killing of several patients, including children.
The Punjab government has said that civilian patients would be treated in the army hospitals. Besides, the government has ordered authorities concerned to appoint more doctors through Punjab Public Service Commission.
On the other hand Young Doctors’ Association has announced to go to any extent to get their demands met. However, the YDA didn’t explain as to what extent they would go as their apathy had already killed several patients in the province.
